It’s been a while since Microsoft announced a new flagship Windows phone, but a new report suggests it could have a whole bunch of devices ready to go in the near future. According to NokiaPowerUser, the company is prepping four exciting handsets.
At the high-end we may finally see the long-rumored Lumia 940 make its debut. The device apparently packs a 5-inch display, an impressive 24-megapixel or 25-megapixel camera, a 5-megapixel shooter up front, Pen support, an Iris scanner, a powerful processor and Windows 10 for phones. Microsoft may also launch a Lumia 940 XL with a bigger 5.7-inch display and similar specs at the same time.

Moving down the line, the company is expected to unveil a new Lumia 840 in 5-inch and 5.5 or 5.7-inch variants. The device will allegedly pack a 14-megapixel PureView camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing shooter. This is more of an upper midrange device, though it should still pack a punch.
There’s no word on when the new devices will launch, though NPU claims that Microsoft is rushing to get its first Windows 10 phones in stores as quickly as possible. With the company’s annual BUILD conference kicking off later this month it could be the perfect opportunity to announce all four handsets.
