We bring you the details of the upcoming 2016 Toyota Innova based on the recent spy shots that have surface on the cyber space
Earlier this year, Toyota launched the 2015 Innova marking its 10th year of original introduction since 2005. But the 2015 Innova is a mere facelift and not really a generation upgrade. With the new Toyota Innova set to make its global debut earlier this year, spy shots of the car have already started surfacing on the internet. Although it is difficult to figure the exact design of the car under the camouflage, a change in the front profile was rather evident. The 2016 Innova will now sport a hexagonal twin-slat grille up front and will be flanked by LED Daytime Running Lights on either side. The fog lights and the air dams also seem to be larger now. The overall stance too seems to be different.
The new generation Innova will now get a more aggressive disposition and the seating too is expected to be higher. In profile the wheel arches look relatively smaller than the model currently on sale. And it gets fresh alloy wheels too. On the inside too we can expect the 2016 Innova to have a refreshed layout.

Aside from the exterior styling rumour has it that the new Innova will be lighter than the current generation model and is also expected to be based on a new platform. The Japanese car maker hasn’t really delved into any specifications about the engine of the car and if it will sport the same engine from the current model. Some reports hint at a slightly more powerful diesel mill will make its way into the new Innova. While details of the new generation Innova are still scarce and scattered, the fact that it has been spotted in India hints that we are close to its official unveil. Stay tuned to this space for updates on the 2016 Toyota Innova
