Life moves in the fast lane when money pours in by the millions. And while it can't buy happiness, money can surely bring home the absolute best in luxury items. Just ask celebrated boxer Flloyd Mayweather who has splurged 4.6 million pounds on the most audaciously expensive cars. (Don't miss the video at the bottom of the article)
Mayweather, who recently made 120 million pounds from his 'Fight of the Century' bout against Manny Pacquiao in Las Vegas, is the richest sportsperson in the world - and knows how to flaunt it. The boxer recently revealed his fleet of cars - one that would make even the richest of rich take note. (Also read:Mayweather vows to retire after bout in September)
So what's so special about the wheels he owns? For starters, he owns two Bugattis - each worth 1.5 million pounds. Then there are two Rolls-Royces, a Mercedes-Maybach, a Mercedes G63 AMG V8 Biturbo, a rather 'affordable' 300,000 pound-worth Lamborgini Aventador LP700-4 Roadster, among many others.
That he made 3.6 million pounds every minute that he fought Pacquiao last month makes buying the luxury and sports cars much like a casual shopping spree at the neighbourhood mall. In fact, a report in UK's Daily Mail says that the boxer owns a collection of over 100 cars with the best 10 together being worth 4.6 million pounds.
These are cars part of what is called the 'Miami Fleet' and are all white in colour. When not basking in the Florida sun though, Mayweather can be found partying in Las Vegas where he has another set of cars which are all black.
The Miami Fleet:
Rolls-Royce Phantom Drophead Coupe
Rolls-Royce Ghost
Mercedes-Maybach S600
Mercedes G63 AMG V8 Biturbo
Bentley Flying Spur
Bugatti Grand Sport
Bugatti Veyron
Ferrari 458 Spider
McLaren 650S Spider
Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4 Roadster
TOTAL: 4.58 million pounds
Who knew punching away to glory - and being good at it - can be so incredible? (All figures above are near estimates)
